BASIC CRITERIA WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Site must be FAMILY FRIENDLY.  We consider the following to NOT be FAMILY FRIENDLY: hatred, racism, illegal practices, obscene language, warez, hacker, occultism, Satanism, sexism, violence towards humans or animals, profanity, sexual innuendo, partial nudity, full nudity or pornography (on site or linked).

• Site must be in ENGLISH, or have an ENGLISH translation that is readable.

• Applicant must be the webmaster of the site.

• Site must be a Personal site.  No commercial, business or stand alone award program sites will be reviewed. 

• Applicant sites must abide by all International Copyright laws.  This means if your site is using text, art, music, photo's or any items from another person, written permission to display these works MUST have been obtained from the original owner, and this must be stated either on the page within which the items are displayed or within a general website Copyright statement.  Use of another's work WILL be verified.

• Site must have a Privacy Policy prominently displayed and clearly linked, if any personal information of visitor is obtained.  This is information that can be obtained from an on-line application, guest book, e-mail, etc.  If website does keep information about users and passes same on to a third party, its purpose and what it would be used for must be clearly stated.   

IF ANY OF THE BASIC CRITERIA IS NOT FOUND ON THE INITIAL VISIT TO THE SITE, THE APPLICATION WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

WEBSITES THAT HAVE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS WILL HAVE THEIR EVALUATION TERMINATED AND WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED:

• Bandwidth Theft - The linking and use of graphics or images from another site.

• "Under Construction" or "Coming Soon" signs on any page of your site.  Every good site is continually under construction.  If your page is not done, then please wait to upload until it is.

• Site that require or force a download, such as comet cursor, unusual plug-in or pop up, or any page that shows a trailing mouse cursor.

• Site that takes control of our screen and pc, and leaves us no way to take control of our scroll bars, sound or returning us back to our own reality.

• Site that makes our browser freeze, lock up or crash after two (2) attempts.

• Site that is only a collection of links to other sites.

• Site that contains five (5) or more spelling/grammar errors.

• Site that contains two (2) or more internal broken links.

• Site that contains Three (3) or more external broken links.

• Site that has the right mouse click disabled.

• Site that has a requirement to sign their guest book in order to receive an award.

• Site that does not have a section for the display of awards received.
