Awards Program

It was with deep regret that on August 05, 2002, I announced the retirement of Leine's 10-42 Hideaway Award Program. Due to personal obligations requiring more hours and responsibilities, I found that I could no longer give the appropriate time and attention that was needed to properly run this award program.

I wish to thank all the wonderful award indices and programs who have helped and supported me along my journey. I will always be grateful.

I also wish to thank all the incredible websites who have applied to my program. I enjoyed each and every one of my visits and learned so much along the way. I am honored that they chose to apply. Also to my "family" of team members on my eval squad, without you this would NOT have happened! Thank you for your support and love for this program......who knows, some time in the future I may be callin again ;)

I have decided to keep this part of my award program up in its entirety the exact way it was prior to its retirement, (with the exception of the APPLICATION PAGE), so that others may see what I was proud to have accomplished. If my keeping this site up, helps in any way those that are attempting to start an awards program, then my goal has been met. The future may hold that I will build an AP even better then this, but until then......this AP is 10-42!

PURPOSE

PURPOSE...... defined as the reason for which something exists or for which it has been done or made.

Throughout the many years that I have surfed the web, I have come in contact with countless amounts of websites that have made me lose all track of time. You all know what I mean........you have been there before yourselves. Stop and think about the times you have visited a website and suddenly realized that several hours have passed since you looked at that first page. You had been transported into the pages of that author's "purpose". Time had literally stopped, because you were drawn so deep into what the author of that site was conveying to you.

To that extent, there is a very simple reason or "purpose" as to why this award program exists. I want to convey back to the author or web designer my appreciation of what they have given me. They may have taught me something or made me think, made me laugh or made me cry. Whatever it was, this is my time to showcase their effort, hard work and determination of conveying their "purpose" to me.
