Taffy...Our Sassy Girl

On December 5, 2000, we lost a very special member of our family named "Taffy".  She was taken to that great big dog park in the sky, where now she can run and play without any worries or pain.

Leinewebers Lady Taffeta (Taffy) was a pure bred AKC registered American Cocker Spaniel.  She came from a great family line and had showcase winners for mother and father.  Taffy had a small defect with her lip......we called it her "Elvis droop", so we were not able to breed her.  She was the only one of the litter that had this problem, and of course we fell in love with her the minute we saw her.

Taffy succumbed to an incurable liver disease that plagued her suddenly in her last year.  She brought nine very special years of joy to our family.  We all sadly miss the love, affection, devotion and CHAOS that she brought to our home.

We therefore dedicate this page to Taffy.  She was our "Sassy Girl".

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge that connects heaven and earth that is called the Rainbow Bridge.  Just before the Rainbow Bridge there are meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, it goes to this place.  There is always food, water and warm spring weather.  All the old and frail pets become young again, while those pets who were maimed are once again made whole.  Here they play all day.

The only thing they miss, is that they are not with their own special person who loved them so much on Earth.  Each day they run and play, until the one day comes when one of them suddenly stops playing and looks up!

The nose twitches as the ears go up and the tail starts to wag.  The eyes are staring.  They have waited so very long.  Suddenly this pet runs from the group.

YOU HAVE BEEN SEEN!  When you and your pet meet, you take them in your arms and embrace.  Your face is kissed and kissed again.  You can once again look into those beautiful eyes of your beloved pet.

You then take hold of your pet and both cross over The Rainbow Bridge, never to be separated again.
