Joyce Cooling

Joyce Cooling took the stage and once again (I saw her here in 2000) put on an excellent performance.  Her band is as tight as ever with Jay Wagner playing awesome keyboards, Gary Calvin on bass and Billy Johnson on drums (Johnson played with Santana on their tour when I saw them in Milwaukee in 2001).  Joyce played some great new tunes from her new CD "Third Wish" as well as others from her two previous CD's  ......Daddy-O, Mm Mm Good, Jelly On My Jacket and Callie come to mind.  Joyce has "a sound" that is truly unique to her style of playing, and once you have heard it, I am sure you will become a Cooling fan as well.  I met Joyce after the concert and yes got another autograph and she was as friendly and gracious as ever.  I told her about this section of the website and she wants to see it.  She told me that anything that promotes smooth jazz she is all for.  *Keeping fingers crossed that she likes what she sees*
